Claire Shallcross was born in 1981 and currently lives and works in Glasgow. She graduated from Birmingham UCE with a BA in Fine Art in 2004. Through collaborative and live processes Claire Shallcross’ work employs existing frameworks to create spaces for alternative forms of pedagogy and representation. Shallcross uses pre-existing social norms and values to manipulate perceptions and representations. As both an artist and a curator Shallcross aims to create an environment for the audience to participate in a narrative.
