“Cass Sculpture Foundation is brilliant because it takes the risk to support people who haven't already received recognition, which gives an enormous boost to someone's confidence at a point when they most need it.” - Thomas Heatherwick

Each year, the curatorial team at CASS invites a selection of carefully researched artists from around the world to submit proposals in the form of drawings and maquettes for consideration. Committed to fostering new, as well as established talent, the organisation commissions as many as 15 new works every year. The commissioned works are exhibited in our 26 acre site in West Sussex, either outdoors or in one of the two gallery spaces.

CASS supports its commissioned artists at every step of the process, from conception to fabrication, exhibition to sale. The organisation has 25 years of experience and contacts, working with the worlds leading galleries, collectors, institutions, foundries, fabricators, engineers, architects and transporters.

As such, it provides exceptional opportunities for sculptors at varying stages in their careers to create ambitious new works.  The works go on to be sold to collections or museums, with proceeds split equally between the artist and the organisation to facilitate new commissions.
