Description

'Thalassa', the Greek for 'sea', is reflected in the overriding, wave - like form of this structure that would envelop a person walking through it. This is not a shelter, but a sculpture that may be viewed from both within and without - the way in which Lasdun has devised the open structure of the form, with criss-crossing members, makes an environment that changes according to the amount of sunlight present.
